Hey, I'm in the same boat. I'm not sure either. I asked my LBS & they said if regluing on using glue then just clean off any excess. If mounting with the tape then get it all off. They said the glue is hard to get pff but to try goo off. I wonder still what's best for carbon rims. Also wonder if gluing on or using the tape is best.

zipp recomends "goof off" it works well but smells horrible
