I have the same question...Well, kinda...I can't tolerate the cheaper, pads. Can anybody recommend a good cycling short with a more natural charmois? Trying to keep them under $75. I also like a thicker material for the panels. Thanks.
Sorry to glom onto your thread....
The oomph brand has em and I really like them. I am getting more use to running in them as well.
Worth the extra money IMO

hey mercer, if it's just road riding, try the Performance Elite shorts, the price is well under $75, it's a medium chamois that stretches, not a bad short for longer rides.
it's what the "pros" wear!

If you're correctly fitted (including a saddle that fits you) you should be sitting on your sitbones and not your private parts.
Thanks froggy...I have a cheaper set of Performance that irritate the heck out of me...Plus, I hate the ones that only come down mid-thigh...I'll pick a set up.
PM me. I was wondering if you're going to do Cape Henlopen?
I've got several pair of these: http://www.zyflex.com/store/productDetail.asp?id=26-Performance+Power+Cycling+Shorts
I love them and they are very inexpensive, $29/pair, but they are not cheap. Most comfortable shorts I own.
