possible to remove 20mm cone spacer from the FSA integrated headset
Quote | Reply
I need some input please. I am looking to lower my front end a little more. I have a 2005 Speicialized S-works Transition w/ a FSA intergrated headset. It has a 20mm cone spacer that I would like to remove and replace with a shorter spacer. Before I tear into it. Is this possible and if so does the spacer just pull off or do I need special tools.

Thanks,

S

Just pull that bad boy off! But, it also serves as a dust cover and you will need to replace it with the thin, 5mm or so top cap that you can also use. I mean, you can't just put a regular 1 1/8" spacer over it or slam your stem on there. Your LBS should have one (doesn't have to be an FSA one).
