Nothing to see here. Move along... Kessler spills cups not on purpose. Wurtle gets angry because she gets no water. There are lots of worse things that can happen in a race and both of these pro women know that. I'm sure this is all water under the bridge. BTW, they both looked awesome running to the finish. Seeing the pro's on the course is definitely one of the perks of racing in St. George.

Accidents such as this happen and Kessler is so low on the bs meter that she doesn't even rate there.

I read that i thought it was a strange story. Were there no volunteers? If Meredith was pushing all the cups on the ground, it also meant that everyone behind her had no water! And there would have been tonnes of people behind her as well!

Wasn't Trevor Wurtele accused of blocking athletes in the women's race (not this one). Is this the case of a couple desperate to win or is it a bunch of people ganging up on a talented peer? It does seem odd....since I have not seen Pro's get ugly and not honorable in competing. Plus, I don't know how it is even possible to knock over a table of water cups without stopping and turning the table over. It all seems strange.

trevor would be ahead of female pros so there is really no chance he would interfere with female pros.

at the end dont they always say tri is boring and needs more trash talk ...

btw i have no idea what this is all about as iam not interested in trash talk.
but i think the above accusation with regards of interfereing in a race is plain wrong .

It's an old "trick" - be first to the water station on the bike/run, and then "miss", all but the one hand-up, you take, leaves nothing for those just behind you! :)

Back in the 80's there was a local guy who I raced against who was notorious for this. There would be sprints, to get to aid stations ahead of him, then do the same thing to him! :)

I know Trevor a little, and this has to be so wide of the mark it's funny. It wouldn't surprise me if he apologised to every person he ever passed. I would happily bet my house on the fact that this never happened.

If he's going to block anyone it should be his wife, I wouldn't blame him, probably sick of her grabbing the headlines! :) At a local level I know how he feels.
