getting older, triathlons and partying...
so i'm a new triathlete since august (2 ag podium sprints), and love the new lifestyle, but listen to this. one of my running friends (he's in his 50s but rages like a 20 yr old) calls me up yesterday to invite me out for a saturday night rager complete with a stretch limo, 26 hot chicks and only 6 guys (i smell a rat).

pre-triathlon, i'd be all over this like a mercedes car salesman on a wagon-shopping triathlete, but the first thing i thought of during the invitation was how i was gonna train on sunday all hung-over! wtf? wtf is wrong with me?!?! am i turning soft, while my body grows hard?! have i lost my mind? since when does triathlon training take a back seat to partying with 26 allegedly hot chicks?

do i need to re-evaluate my triathlon-training and learn to prioritize again?

nah. i'm gonna party with the chicks, fuck that. lol.

but seriously, i really needed a whole day to self-debate this issue, torn between training and chicks. man, am i getting old or what?

Are you sure?, I'm just sayin'.........................26 hot chicks versus a workout and it took you a day to figure it out. We at least need to revoke your Man Card for 24 hours, you must be penalized :-)

You suck, bro. Training is a jealous mistress, but you need to be able to keep your priorities straight!

Dude that is messed. I could see if you were 6 or less weeks out fromm your A race, otherwise you're just an idiot. Hell, I'd go party with 26 chicks and 6 guys. ;-)

Just finished longest peak-period BT session (5hr on trainer + 40min run off bike). Have 2 more smaller bricks, then pack & fly & race! Achilles feels awesome, so do legs overall (pushing much bigger & better on the bike than ever). Have a minor problem with saddle post I gotta get looked at later today (saddle seems to slip down after 1hr+ in aero position - that sucks).

Oh yeah: cervelo Magum TT top kicks ass, should do very nicely for the race.

Can I come? I'm small enough to fit in your carry on, and with the toddler the airline crew will be too distracted to notice!

It's either that or Omaha, NE for me... Help!

Nothing like a long ride Hungover, I love em. I try to minimize the torture and chug a CYTOMAX with a couple of endurolytes and a vitamin before I pass out. Might work for you if its not to late to get on the F TRAIN
