cholesterol v athletic performance
I've read some recent posts about cholesterol but does anyone know if there has been any testing on the effects of high cholesterol on performance. Take me for instance I have a high cholesterol of close to 7 in the UK (and have no idea what that equates to in the US system) but to my way of thinking-cholesterol can clog arteries or at a minimum it puts itself in places where it shouldn't be therefore if I have more cholesterol than normal does that mean that during exercise and in particular strenuous exercise my heart has to pump more times to get sufficient blood to muscles etc. than it would if I had a much lower cholesterol, therefore there would be a case for saying that it would impeed performance.

That does sound too easy -perhaps some medical guys would care to comment.
