Can you guys recommend good bike trainers. Although, I dread riding one this winter (moved from Hawaii to Boston...UGH); it's going to be a necessity to maintain/increase fitness for next season.

hi - and welcome to Boston (I'm 20 miles south). I don't know if anyone has recommended the Tacx virtual trainers yet, but I swear by it. Mixing the tacx, weekend outside runs and a few gym sessions is the only way to beat cabin fever. plus, with the tacx, you can upload runs and train with opponents, theres even winter leagues. Drawback, they're a bit pricey, and you can't use them without a newish computer. My setup is dedicated and works well.

I just bought one of those Cyclops Fluid 2 trainers from Tom D.'s shop and I really like it a lot. It's the first time I've ever owned/ridden a trainer so I don't have a lot of experience with it, but I think it was a great deal for a high quality trainer.

Do you have the Fortius? I am seriously thinking about one, but can't find anybody who actually owns it to give me an honest opinion. Do you have any of the DVD rides you can hook up to your unit? How good is the virtual landscape, etc, etc? Any info is much appreciated.
