I'd like to invite you to the inaugural City of Portland Triathlon, coming to the Pacific Northwest this summer. The olympic-distance race will be the first major downtown triathlon ever held in Portland, and will be Sept. 2 (Labor Day weekend).
The triathlon will be built on the foundations of this city: sustainability, energy, creativity. We're proud to host the first naturopathic medical tent in triathlon, our materials will be recycled, locally sourced, and organic as much as possible, and we aim to be car-free. It's a bold endeavor, but something I take seriously. I am very much looking forward to making this vision a reality.
