adjustable stem opinions

Which stem is your favorite?

Look Ergostem, Ritchey, Oval, or ITM?

I might need one for my next bike.

Thanks.

I only have the Ritchey: cheap, sturdy as all get out. Only issue is that you have to completely take it apart to change the angle, thus keeping track of where it is requires some marking or other.

I don't like the ITM because the way the steertube clamp is milled worries me. It looks weak, and I know of three triathletes who've had it break. I have one, but I don't use it anymore.

The Look is a do-everything stem. It works, it's strong and you can adjust in an infinite range. A bit heavy and clunky. I keep it around to fool with fit now and then. I can keep changing it until I like the setup, then I can measure and install a standard stem or one of the other adjustables. I don't race with it, but plenty of people do.

I haven't used the others, but I'm going to order an Oval stem to try.
