He is, and I thought his poem was pretty good. Nonetheless I still prefer the racing part. It was cool seeing how hard the pros went through transition and were pushing on the bike. That was quite the pace line they showed.

Could you imagine all the traning he has gone through, the hours and hours of pain, plus the emotion of being the previous world champion and trying to defend your title, only to blow two tires in the same race? Man I would cry too.. I found that totally heartbreaking to watch

How about Carlos Moleda (sp?) finishing in 10.5 hours! That is crazy fast for any athlete, let alone someone who did 100% using just his upper body... Yet another inspiration...

It was/is a great opening line. It's typically what I say to non-triathletes when I get the jaw-drop when they ask how far you have to go in an Ironman triathlon - "yeah, I know it's ridiculous is'nt it?" - is what I say.
