On the women's side, olympic distance road pro Sara McLarty will be going off-road for the first time, up against Xterra World Champion Lesley Patterson, top US Xterra pro Emma Garrard, Brazilian Laura Mira Dias, Canadian Christine Jeffrey, and Italian Geziana Cenni.
On the men's side, rising star Mauricio Mendez Cruz, who recently took third at IM70.3 Monterrey, will take on perennial Xterra US Series star Josiah Middaugh, as well as American Craig Evans, Costa Rican Rom Akerson, and many others. I will attempt to hold on in my first race outside the US on the Xterra world tour.
