Wheelset Choice Goosepond Island Half
I've tried to research this through the forum, but I haven't found a solid answer.

I'm racing Goosepond Island Half in two weeks. I have the option to race an 80 mm front and rear tubular set or a 40 mm/ disc clincher set. What would be better to race?

My gut tells me running the 40/disc would be the best balance of aerodynamics, repair, and potential gusty conditions.

Definitely go with the disc and get as deep a wheel as you can up front. It is as flat a bike course as I have ever ridden although theres a couple of rough stretches of asphalt. Overall a very fast race and well organized, you'll have a blast.

I'm riding 808 front, disc rear. Flat and fast course. See you there.

Pretty flat bike course, usually not much wind. Run course is tough.

Thanks folks. I figured the 40/disc setup would be best, but I'm glad some folks smarter than me weighed in.
