I think the Cervelo Soloist would be it for me.
I ride a P3, so I may be biased...

Jamis has some good bikes in that price range, and even lower.

Hmm, who makes good bikes for under $2K.
Trek, Giant, Cannondale, Jamis, Devinci (in Canada), Cervelo, etc etc.

Lemond has a nice steel bike and the aluminium/carbon spine bikes. Notlikely that you'll get a new carbon or titanium frame for that amount.
But to be honest, I'd go second hand. For two grand you'll find a 2-3 yr old 4-5K bike on ebay no problems.

Actually, the Devinci is a great bike too.
My brother has one an dloves it. I think he has the Silverstone and the Millenium is their top model. That one would push you right to the 2000 mark, but it is a nice solid bike and has some nice aero aspects to it.

Felt has some pretty nicely spec'd bikes in that range.

I'm just going to make "Cervelo Soloist Team" my auto signature, because this bike is my answer to 9 out of 10 questions on this forum. It's like Chuck Norris but with a flippable seatpost.

I understand there are about 50 good bike companies. That's why I put (Brand and Model) so it speeds up my research. After I find the model, I can be fitted or rule that bike out if it will not fit.
I was hoping I could find something carbon with ultegra.

I was going to look into Felt as I believe they are good value. Just got to see if I can find a good deal on an 06. There are not many Felt dealers south florida.

Get fitted first. Then look for a bike that will work for you. I could recommend a Trek 2300 very easily, but if it doesn't fit you because the top tube is too long in your ideal size, then there is no point in you looking at that bike.

There are a handfull of good bike companies and a great many followers who don't have designers on staff (except for graphics designers).
If you want carbon with ultegra then pedalforce.com (qs2 is same frame as litespeed pavia) or bikesdirect.com would be good places to start. Pedalforce you can build up just as you want it which is a plus.
Your best bet would be getting a fit and then asking which bikes will allow you to achieve your fit numbers in an effective manner, choosing a bike then making a size "fit" is a compromise at best usually.
Personally I'd vote for top quality aluminium from cervelo or cannondale.
