Do not expect Theo Bos speeds or tactics, but I am pretty sure that some will find the race exciting. These are 12, 13 and just turned 14 year olds representing most of the States in México that have velodromes.
Make sure you click the "smaller screen" icon on the viewer. The resolution is not good enough to see it in the bigger screen. You can keep track of Sergio Jr. following his celeste green Bianchi bike on a Blackwell disc. He is the kid that attacks since the first moment of the race (and a few other times).

Sergio managed to secure 1st place on all three events, a 333.33 TT, a Scratch race, and also on a Unknown Distance race. I was expecting him to secure at least one 1st place but he did real good. It sure was exciting to see him racing.
I can imagine that those that are experienced track cycling racers will spot some things that made the State Coach smile and shake his head when he viewed the video the first time. Sergio has plenty time to learn. I am just glad that all his hard efforts were rewarded with a 1st place on the three events on this year track Nationals.
I am not sure what this means, but I hope that he keeps swimming and running at least until he is 18. He still has the most important races of the year ahead, the road and track races of the Olimpiada Nacional Juvenil. He will be a marked man, that is for sure.
A friend of my son taped the Scratch race (you can hear him yelling "Dale Sergio!" in the final lap). I also taped the "Unknown Distance" race but I found it quite uncomfortable to film my own kid racing an important race. I think that he did a much better job than me.
One more thing... both Sergio and I have many people to thank here in ST for our cycling related questions. We really appreciate the advise of all those that have answered many questions over last two years. Thanks again to all.
I hope you like the video.
