Vehicles on the Cheap
Any recommendation for an inexpensive car/truck/wagon? My only requirement is that I can shove a bike or two in it. Thanks!

Honda Element - cheap, reliable and sounds like what you are looking for.

Ditto on the Element, mine didn't cost much despite 4WD and decent spec and is like a sports bag on wheels.

Just get a small used truck. see http://aliciaparr.com/blog/?p=138

Then all you need are some nifty fork mounts and a board or toolbox.

Cheap and utilitarian.

Look for a late model Suzuki Esteem Wagon, these things run forever lots of room and dirt cheap.

Get your self a 10 year old German or Jap wagon like a Passat or a Legacy and leave the rear seats down, you'll be able to chuck a couple of fully assembled bikes in the back. You'll get it for a pittance, can and it will run for years.

I've got a '96 Subaru Legacy wagon I bought 4 years ago for $3K. I'd buy another in a heartbeat. You can fit a bike in no problem (wheels on) and the AWD is sweet if it gets slick out.
