Update on Cincinnati Cyclist 8/29/05! GOOD NEWS
Quote | Reply
After almost 6 weeks since Michael was hit by a car on his bike and he is starting to come out of his Coma. He is moving all over the place, recognizes his family, says hello, sticks his toungue out (a big one for some medical reason), nods his head to answer questions. He is still in and out of his coma but he is definatly waking up.

Thanks to all of your e-mails and prayers.

Cinci peeps, go by and see Michael and bug the shit out of him to wake up!

Next week I hope that I can report that he is up and moving around on his own.

Michael

Thanks Mike! My wife stopped by your shop again today for some newly blended nectar.

Sticking out the tongue is a big deal because the nerves that control tongue motion are cranial based nerves that arise from inside the skull/brainstem and not the spinal cord. If he had a lot of edema in his head from his crash, long-term coma, this would be a good sign. Moveing the arms and legs are another thing (i.e. spinal cord injury).
