Im running the North Face 50k at Bear Mountain in May. Ran there last year and can say they put on a very good, well run and challenging race. Also NJ Trail series has a bunch of races in New Jersey, did one last year and have friends that have done them and would recommend.

I am also running the Bear Mountain 50M in May. Do you have any suggestions regarding gear choices? I am usually a minimalist runner but the headlamp requirement means I have to put it somewhere after daybreak. Any advice appreciated. Sorry if I hijacked your thread.
