The 515 races have a standard format. 3 days and something like

Day 1 10k swim 100k bike
Day 2 250 k bike
Day 3 double marathon

Not exactly the schedule but something like that. You could just google it.

That's only 7-months away? I would think that's the type of event you need something closer to a year to work up to realistically.

I would like to see what 420km of cycling out in that part of Hill Country looks like.

Forgive my ignorance but how is this a sustainable model? HITS does an event in Marble Falls and they get about 20 people to do the iron distance race. Where's the market for this at 2-2.5 times the distance? Props to anyone doing an Ultra. Crazy distance.

Question #2... how has WTC not sued them over the T-Dot character?

Favorite Gear: Dimond | Cadex | Desoto Sport | Hoka One One

Ultraman takes about 40 athletes per race.
Athletes provide their own crew and supplies, for the most part. No aid stations.

Those who do the HITS race are very different animals from those who do Ultra distance events. Take a look at Ultraman Florida & Ultra515 Canada the applicants come from all around the world.

Cool...but they scheduled it the same weekend as Redman (UCI LC Nats) and Kerrville (the last race of the "Texas Tri Series")
