I converted after I realized how nice it is ride wider tires at low PSI

When I race, I still do so at higher psi (which is faster) but for my training rides I’m usually around 40-50psi on 32s, and the ride is just SO smooth

And then there’s the added benefit of no flats. And it’s not no flats riding over clean roads, it’s no flats and I ride on the shoulder, thru gravel occasionally, don’t worry AS much about debris on the road

Besides the bit of learning curve and a bit more time on setup , the improved ride quality is one of the single best “enhancement” for me in many years

Higher pressure (80psi +) and low volume tire (~25mm) = use tubes

Low pressure (40 psi) and high volume tire ( ~40m) = tubeless

The lower pressure and higher volume tires on mt bikes and gravel bikes seem to be a great fit for tubeless. Even cars for that matter. But when going to higher pressure 80psi+ and lower volume (narrower) there seem to be issues.

There also seems to be issues with consistencies with inside diameter of tires which may impact the safety of narrower and higher pressure applications.

In my opinion :)
