Why are the announcers so shocked that Wellington is passing men on the run course and stating that there will be "bruised egos". It's pretty clear that Wellington is just at a totally different level and one of if not the best in the world; for long distance running there really isn't alot of difference between men and women - heck I would argue women are more adept at it; would be nice if these announcers actually talked about race strategy, nutrition and pacing rather than sucking each other off.

We've got a great battle up front in the men's race and IMlive chooses to show us 3 talking heads and Chrissie running alone. What a bunch of bullshit!

Hey Greg and MJ, how about showing us the Llanos / Stadler??

You mean show footage of the ACTUAL race, and miss seeing 3 people TALKING about the race???????

You should be banned!!!!!
Can the new owners of WTC be happy with the online video coverage?

Is it just me or has PNF had her face stretched back?

"the trick is to keep losing weight until your friends and family ask you if you've been sick. then you know you're within 10 pounds. if they start whispering to each other, wondering if you've got cancer or aids, you're within 5. when they actually do an intervention, you're at race weight." - Slowman

Nope, I raced this morning in Sierra Vista. Will be doing a 3+ hour bike so I can start tapering for Soma 1/2. You?

WOW she looks GREAT! About 15 years younger.

BTW IM Live is doing a GREAT job even on the text updates.

Here is the latest one

Our spotters are reporting that it's getting really hot out on the marathon course right now as the leaders get closer to the Energy Lab.

LOL they really do suck don't they!

From the updates:

"The women through 5.5 miles
Chrissie Wellington is going by pro men and they're doing double takes as she goes by."

I do not EVER want to hear that it's all about hard work and intelligent training, and NOT genetics. It's all three. She's three years into tri, so she hasn't been working hard enough for long enough for that to be the answer.

Imagine how speedy she can be with a few more years (and more durable tires/clinchers)!

Alright...now that we have solid video of watching Craig stalking the leaders...could someone please analyze his running stride for me.

Is this Pose, Chi or anything that warrants Newtons?

I just don't see much forefoot, but maybe that's because he clipping along at 6:3Xish.

thanks.

Yes... watching this all day has me motivated, even for a sprint! I'll be doing SOMA Quarterman. Good luck with your races!

as long as we're bashing IM live...did anyone else have an update in german on the text update screen? i don't read german, but it mentioned timo bracht, and the word "disqualificashun" in it. when i went back to that screen later, it had just disappeared. very strange. and no, i'm not drinking. yet.
