I thought it was a typo...you are basically get a free wheel with purchase. I ordered a set because these will sell out fast. I wonder how these stack up vs the Flos, as they are both similar in spec?

HED is a little bit lighter but they stopped publishing aero results. Weight doesn't really matter that much in tri so overall, Flo is a great wheel company too. At least with Flo, you have wind tunnel data. Why HED won't post their data is interesting.

Are those HED wheels the black rim version or the standard silver rims?

HED recommends new brake pads to prevent flakes causing premature wear. Just like the Flos, HED recommends running 23's.

Don't see them. Are you sure that's the correct URL?

Hed wheels have always done very well in wind tunnel tests. Tom A's recent Win Tunnel test had a Jet 6 slightly edging out a Flo 9 - which is pretty significant when you consider it's the shallower wheel. While Flo wheels are great for the price, this is a killer price for the Heds, between Tom's test and the lighter weight I'd definitely spring for the Heds over Flos with this sale.

The brake track on those rims look silver to me. I just shot R&A a note. I'll let you know what they say.

R&A Cycles just confirmed that they are the silver brake track version. Still a heck of a deal at $1,100!!
