Hang on..."greatest party in town" might suggest a really dull town. We're talking about a party filled with guys and girls in compression, with shaved legs, who mostly go to sleep by 8 pm as they are tapering for an event that is 72 hours away. We're certainly going to have fun and it actually probably will be the best party.....but you'd have to track down Greg Welch for the real greatest party in town that happens after the racing is all done, but frankly I doubt any party will match the 1994 aftter party after Welchie won. I was not there, but the legends from friends put that Kona party as the one every other one will be judged by. When the Ironman World Champion breaks his arm while partying, that pretty well sets the bar.....so who is going to out party Welchie at the ST party 72 hours pre race? Can anyone drag Chuckie V over?
