In Nashville for work this week. Need to knock out a couple swims. Any good public places? Open water or pool it doesn't matter.
Thanks

For open water swimming I typically head to Percy Priest Lake: either Anderson Road Recreation Area or Cook Day Use Area. Anderson Road has a larger beach and is choppier due to boats flying by. Cook is calmer but smaller so you'll be turning more. The fee to access is $5.

Pool-wise, the Nashville Athletic Club is the best spot. They have Masters swimming in the early mornings and some afternoons. Otherwise the downtown YMCA or Green Hills YMCA have decent pools and are near the urban core.

Limited hours due to the pool being closed generally to the public for the rest of the month. Enter the door facing 25th Ave.

They haven't swam in the lake for a couple of weeks due to high water temps.

Thanks ended up swimming the downtown YMCA because it was close to my hotel. That place is huge!
Hope to try one of the open water spots later this week.
