Suggest a Tri near the Grand Canyon

I was wondering if anyone here could suggest a good tri oly distance perhaps that I could combine with a family trip to the Grand Canyon this summer.

Look into the Mountain Man Tri in Flagstaff. Take a look at anything in the Las Vegas, Phoenix and Flagstaff areas. Phoenix is 4 hours from the GC and Flagstaff is only 1 hr.

I was scheduled to race it last year but my brothers and sisters decided to throw an 80th B-Day party for my Dad in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. So I ended flying north instead of doing the closest race to my house : (

I'll be there this year!!!

speaking of canyon...I have reservation at the Phantom Ranch and will be hiking down late March for a one night stay with my wife.
Any tips?
