Steerer tube question
I dropped my stem down about 1 1/2 inches and would like to cut off the excess. Any tricks or precautions in performing this surgery? I figured I would put an old spacer on (the height of my stem) to use as a guide, and then just hack it off with a good saw. Any other thoughts?

Thanks

If it uses one, make sure your star fangled nut is down far enough first... :)

Use a miter box for a nice, flat, flush cut. Use black electrical tape over the cut to minimize splintering and a fine hacksaw blade - Easy!
