I just saw on the updates that the guy who is leading is actually an age grouper, but he started with the pros. I assume he would be DQed if that's true.

He lists himself as a pro, but when I sorted the pro field on the athlete tracker he is not listed. Not that it matters much.

It's weird they said that on the updates. Looks like you're right. Here's what they had on the update though:

"We think it's Hamano still in the lead, but that's a little unclear -- we have him down as an age-group competitor, which means he shouldn't have started with the pros."

Seems a bit disrespectful to his pro status.

How many swimmers under 50 min today?

I say Lessing Al Sultan for sure. Will Hirokatsu keep leading or do you think he will fall off of the pace?

They are saying Hirokatsu was in the Olympics. I wonder what kind of bike and run he will have?

Is it just my setup or is Huddle's mike screwed up. Babbit is nice and clear. Everytime Huddle speaks it is distorted. Just me?

re age grouper in pros: I saw a lime green cap ( amateur) start with the pros. Race officials were on top of it. He was no where near the fron of the pack, and there were no green caps amongst the top pro men finishers. There were two or three swimmers (including ken Glah) who lost their caps during the swim.
