Lovely.

God forbid motorists are at all inconvenienced, ever. Or even for a few hours, one day.
Especially for an event that brings lots of tourism $ to their area.

I always laugh at the jackwads with the "I pay taxes!" bit.
Yeah, like zero cyclists also own cars, or homes.
None of us pays any taxes, ever!! Thanks, Obama!!!

I always love the " why can they use our roads if they don't pay taxes" argument. Ummmm, 99% of the riders own a CAR, paid sales tax on the bike, etc, etc, etc.

I tried to comment and the site owner / administrator must be blocking comments he wants and adding others.
Pretty sad but standard for this dude.

I love the taxes argument. It's not like the roads would have not been constructed if bicycles didn't exist. Few are designed to accommodate bicycle (wide shoulders, bike lanes) They don't contribute to any significant wear and tear.

It's about as logical and demanding that funding for schools be refunded to you because you don't have kids or are single.... or demanding that funding for lung cancer be refunded to you because you don't smoke. Having good education, just like having good infrastructure, defense, medical research, etc. benefits everyone, even if indirectly.

I hope they never add an Ironman there.

It's not far from Cambridge, believe it or not. Eagleman and now IMMD are there.

Well, people who know nothing about cycling and use cars only for transportation would never learn anything new. Dont waste your effort. They don't like your foreign cars ether :)
