If anyone is interested in fine tuning their seat height I have:
  • One official Plasma Premium Seat post shim kit (one x 2mm, three x 1mm spacers + shim holder / seat insert)
  • 7cm of seat post

If you need one or the other let me know.

It would appear that many more people want the original TT flat stem than there are stems available.

I have had several items machined for an old bike by an engineer (and TT'er) here in the UK. If anybody would be willing to loan us one of the original stems for a few weeks, I'd suggest he could machine a small batch for whoever wants one. However, I imagine borrowing a stem in the first place will be the trickiest bit.

How much interest would there be for something like this?

Has anybody experienced difficulties with the cable run for the front mech. Fitted a double ring set up and associated hardware (57/39 and Ultegra 6700 mech) to my Plasma Premium last night and the cable rubs the removable aluminium cover as it turns back up towards the mech. It's like Scott have machined the cable stop on the inside at the wrong angle. Be interesting to know if anyone has suffered similar.

Thank you. But I ended up buying the Pro Missile EVO Stem. It's quite expensive but was the only way I could get lower. It's not a perfect fit, but it works (with a shim). It is simply ridiculous Scott doesn't offer any other options for a stem. It's a great bike but I'd never recommend to anyone simply for the lack of adjustability for fit.

The washers behind the drive side pad help give you more cable pull, that is what is jimmy-rigged. Let me know if you need more pictures or info. See my pictures on page 25 of this thread

Hi, friends!

I bought a Plasma 3 size 54, but it is big to me.
I am 5' 6" (1,69m) and the bike is with the shark flat stem and a pro evo missile.

I announced the bike for sale, but i would like an opinion if I could do something to get stick with it.
I have the original stem.

Thanks a lot!

I know its a few months old, but saw your post about the spacer set and the leftover seatpost material. Do you still have these and would you be willing to part with them?

I have sold my Plasma. I might have some stuff, not sure, but I am in San Diego for another 6 weeks prior to getting home. I sold the bike to a friend, and he might have those spares. I will check with him.

If I have them did you want to wait until beginning of March to receive?
