Scott CR1 vs. Specialized Smartweld

Both the Scott CR1 and Specialized Smartweld are similar in price ~$1500. However the CR1 has a carbon frame. Which bike do you prefer?

You can spend an extra $300-$500 and get 105 components on each. Hopefully my budget will allow for that.

The 2014 Allez is a great racing frame if that is what you are looking for. It is fairly stiff and pretty lightweight.

The Scott has a higher fit, it would fit me perfectly and the CR1 gets good marks on ride quality so it would be my choice. The frame is also very nice for the price, under 1000 grams.
