Running around the world

Amazing amount of discipline to accomplish this. I was surprised that no one else had ever succeeded. Bet he has some cool travel stories - especially the Chinese jail time.

I can't believe this scam artist is still taking ppl in. David Blaikie spent his career unmasking this fraud for what he is. Unfortunately his website is history, but I'm sure if you google Garside you'll find enough dirt to reveal his true nature.

Jesper Olsen did what Garside only claimed to do..

Most of Garside is just gammon. I'm surprised to see the Guinness Book of Records lending their imprimatur to Garside.

"It is a good feeling for old men who have begun to fear failure, any sort of failure, to set a schedule for exercise and stick to it. If an aging man can run a distance of three miles, for instance, he knows that whatever his other failures may be, he is not completely wasted away." Romain Gary, SI interview

This quote is great:
"Look, these are just things for the internet. It's not even really important, is it? I didn't think anyone was reading them."
Robert Garside

Garside is universally regarded as a fraud by keen observers of this "stunt".

I wonder if Dean Karnazes will be spurred to attempt yet another headline seeking run?
