I've read a few things about how the online registration has went for a few IM races this year. Did anyone who was online right on time (when registration opened) get shut out? Or would I be safer sending an entry down with someone who is doing the race?

My friend who I train with got shut out of IMWI even though he started right on time - he had to fill out all the Active.com registration stuff first. If you make sure your user name and all that is up to date and ready to go it will save some time.
Hopefully Active.com is a bit better prepared for the IMFL rush of sign-ups. That being said - I would expect there to be the same problems as IMWI had with the race filling and closing within 45 minutes.
