Recover rating on 920xt

What is the 920xt using to recommend recovery rating as "good" vs "fair"?

I am assuming HRV in some capacity, but interested to know if there is an explanation of the algorithm floating around the web somewhere?

Got no idea where that's from. Was wondering about it too.
Never seen anything else than good, even in a brick without the brick mode but 2 separate sessions.

Pretty crappy of Garmin to include features likes this without explaining how to use them and what variables go into the algorithm. Garmin is in a silly race with themselves to continue adding features and metrics just for marketing sake and trigger upgradeitis.

This isn't helpful. The OP is asking what it is actually doing. Something I am curious about as well, along with how it calculates VO2Max
