I have a good friend in SWAT up in here in WA, fiancée is a cop too. The're looking at getting a couple of retired drug dogs. German Shepherds are awesome.

This is Niki. She is the love of my life. When I am at school (she lives with my parents) I miss her more than I do my brothers/mom/dad.



This is Beauregard. He has kitty AIDS and Turretts, the latter of which is everlasting fun as one of is ticks is twitching his head when you pet him. Cat with a lot of personality. He is also rather fat.

Love these threads! We got a Golden Retriever puppy in July after our beloved Hoover died at the age of 13....

My son Nick and Daisy a few months ago.



Daisy hanging out in the snow. Yep, that's grass she's got in her mouth. She's a digger...my backyard looks like it took a major artillery barrage...



One of my favorite pictures of Daisy. She looks so dignified here, which is the exact opposite of her personality...



A favorite Daisy maneuver...head on floor, butt in air to get butt scratches. It is hysterical, especially when she tries to do this on the hardwood floor...

Unfortunately my career doesn't allow for a hound as I'm away too much so it just would not be fair but one day I'll sort my life out so I can make a home for a rescue dog.

I think I'd go for a "recycled racer", retired greyhound. Apparently they often just wake up one day and decide they don't want to race anymore. Fortunately in the UK these days there are quite a few reputable re-homing centres and they make ideal pets given a good home to live out their retirement. Word is their ideal day consists of about 20 hours sleep, 2 fairly short but energetic walks followed by food and some fuss. Incredibly loyal and amazing temperament.

Holy cow your dog is gorgeous. Police dogs amaze me. I know around here, every once in a while they do a donation drive at pet food stores to raise money for vests for them. I empty my wallet out for that every time.

We got a lab nuffie mix. Chester is loved at the construction sites I work at. He needs no leash and he loves going of see his friends at the lumber yard . Kim at the dump always has a treat for him . He got to be more then 110 lbs. His worse trait is he snore . We live on 5 acres with a river for him to swim in.
