Just got the new R5ca built up and wanted to share it with you--the Slowtwitch community! I'm half roadie, half triathlete, so go easy on me for the lack of aerobars and Zipp 808's.
Here she is:
A few specs: 15 lbs, 54 cm frame, Zipp 303s, Specialized Team Toupe saddle with titanium rails, Fizik bar tape, Rotor 53/39 crankset, Shimano Dura-Ace 7900 throughout except for Ultegra 11x28 cassette. 3T seatpost, stem, and bars from my old R3, Arundel Mandible cages, K-edge chain catcher, Cateye wireless computer, Cane Creek AER headset with upper bearing as a teflon coated metal bushing (not a ball bearing).
I've put 1100 miles on her in the past 6 weeks. And yes, I did commit sacrilege last weekend by putting clip on aerobars for a sprint tri! This weekend we'll be at 6 Gap in north Georgia, 11,000 feet of climbing over 104 miles. Definitely a dream bike. Cheers!
