Up until today I had not missed a day....but work got the best of me, so I am doubling up tomorrow. Early AM run and then a boring treadmill run after work.

with the freezing rain we received in Ottawa, I had to limit my run to the main roads since any secondary roads was pretty much a ice rink.
I saw a fox crossing the road. Unfortunately he was not close enough (and running away from me) and I could not take a picture of him.
Looks like tomorrow I may have to repeat today's run :(
Fred.

I must admit that I started this challenge a little while back. I needed a jump start with running and had read about this challenge, so I started it a little over a month ago. I am on day 38 and run 38....the streak is still alive!good job. I'm on day 8/8 (but 3/3 of the challenge)

With Big Bend 50km coming in January, it's a good idea to rack up miles. Signed up.

First ever Slowtwitch challenge - gave me motivation to get out at 6 this morning to go for a snowy run in 15oF! Lets see how much I can do! Thanks for doing this.

Francois, great to have you playing. I'm 4/4 now.
This morning was a hard 50 min CT ride with 30 min average 245W (3.7W per kilo) + 31 min treadmill run with several hill intervals (10% @ 7-5 - 8.2 mph, and 6% @ 9 mph). I was kind of wobbly when I finished that workout. Outside is a total mess with a combination of ice from freezing rain and snow on top. I might go for an easy 15 min jog outside later today just to move around because I went from a pretty hard workout straight to showed and going to work and will probably be sore if I don't do something easy later today.

I am 2 of 3 but hoping to double up this evening. A right after work run before the girl friend knows I went for a run then a dumbfounded look later in the evening when I suggest I need a run. Last night was just a mess with scheduling where 30min wasn't free before having to go somewhere and at 10pm I thought my heart rate would be too high before trying to get some sleep.

Well, seeing as I'm still on an endured swim hiatus, might as well make the most of my runs.

This coming week is just running, since I'll be in Paris, but balanced after that. A lot of running nonetheless.

Did my first double of this year's challenge yesterday. Wasn't sure if I would be able to squeeze in my scheduled run after work due to storms passing through, so I popped out for a quick 30 min. run at lunch just as the first rain drops began to fall. Then I got a gap in the heavier rain to knock out my regularly scheduled run on wet trails. Life is good! :)
Local trail race series (plural) start to fire up in January. Hope my knees hold up.

Dev,
To meet this challenge, I've decided to turn my 40-minute morning walks with the dog to a run. This morning Bumpass and I surpassed our usual time of 40 minutes and went 50, but there was one pit stop and a couple unplanned squirrel chases. During these moments, I plan to keep moving my feet or just subtract a few minutes from my overall time. Hope this sounds fair, as I will still plan to run on my own most afternoons for 100 days.
Hope everyone can keep up!
Bumpass, after a run!

I do at least 3 runs a week "dog" runs of 5K. I just pause my watch when I have to go find him or wait for him. Not sure if that is in the rules or not but better to ask forgiveness than permission. :)

Tribeer, I think you just created a new sub thread within the 100/100 thread....let's see the dogs of the 100/100! By the way you can't count your dog's mileage in case anyone is getting any sneeky ideas about doubling up mileage !!!!

the rules are simple; catch squirrel, get credit. no catch squirrel, no get credit.

Dogs are welcome on the challenge. Set your beast up with his account....you may need to enter the data though!

Love it Tribeer! A tired dog is a happy dog. Look at that happy, happy dog. Is your dog's name really Bumpass?! Hilarious! There must be a story there.
We have Great Pyrenees who guard our farm, and I've often wondered how many miles they cover at night. (They're nocturnal, wide ranging gaurd dogs.) I suuppose I could just hook the Garmin up to a collar one night. Anyone ever done this?

Indeed, there is a good story behind Bumpass' name. My husband and I competed as a team in a triathlon at Lake Anna in Virginia, which is in the county of Bumpass. We met Bumpass at the race. He was an animal rescue and we had to have him. He's been the best dog. Not a great runner though!
I say put that Garmin on your dogs. Ultra-tri-Guy and Francois need the competition.
