R.I.P. Miami79's Cron' Alu
Lauren came out of her crash pretty okay (she's tougher than nails). Her brand new Guru definately took a licking though.

It's not just the fork that fractured, the frame has some nice new curves in it too. I'm sure the guy that hit her has a nice big dent in his SUV now.

Here's a before picture taken during the fitting process.

"Triathlon" is a misspell according to the Slowtwitch spell checker.

Well, Fulla had his little thing, but yes... Confirmed Hottie. Bit short for me but whatever.

The question of who is right and who is wrong has seemed to me always too small to be worth a moment's thought, while the question of what is right and what is wrong has seemed all-important.

I believe the photo was taken DURING the fitting process. You may be right though.

That last picture belongs on the Hotti thread, or on of the recent ones that has sprung up in this forum (Miami is better than the lavander room, she's A list!)

A hot girl that got through that crash unhurt- that's a woman who's after my heart...

You know she's hot when nobody ripped her apart for that yellow piece of furniture behind her!!!! The fact that I noticed it makes me think I've been married too long ; )!!!

She's even hotter in real life...you guys should come back up for the next Clermont pub crawl!

Just slap a new fork on that puppy and come race! I rode my Cannondale with a kink in the top tube for 6 years. :) Just kidding...well not about my bike but don't ride it with wavy tubes.

No doubt. I think she's been given a pass on the furniture because she was tagged by a motorist.

I've been married for five years and I noticed...

THAT is actually a 1940's era china cabinet that is pretty cool (although it was from Salvation Army). Now, if you had an issue with all the boxes in the background (my roommate was moving in) or the banana tree that's taped together in the first photo, I would understand. =)

A sad sight, especially for a brand new bike. It's just a good thing you don't have any X-rays that look like that fork!

Wow...did you fork splinter away at all? A piece of carbon fiber stuck in you would not be fun.

The insurance company will probably argue they owe you ACV (actual cash value) of the bike which will be less than you paid since the minute we buy a car, bike, etc it depreciates. Hope Guru can help you out with replacement...maybe you could be in their next ad? You definitely look like a stud athlete!

Not so true. When I was cracked up by a truck a couple of years ago the guy's insurance company fell all over themselves to take care of me. I had a $5000 check (just about what I'd paid for the bike just 6 months prior) before I was even well enough to take my happy ass down to the LBS and get the replacement. No issues at all. And if there had been, my insurance company was ready to take the lead for me, take care of me and then go after the other guy...

Oddly most of the time the first thing I do is try to find something to pick on...this time I didnt notice anything...there was a broken bike? Huh...missed it.
