Question for Lance Armstrong
I just watched in TV5 a French channel a French newsman ask Lance what would he do to beat Lance Armstrong.

What do you think he answered?

Best wishes,

Sergio

No he did not answered that. :)

This interview took place just as he got down from the podium. He was answering fluently in French questions asked in French but for this one he gave the classic "I don't understand" and the translator came to the rescue to give him a few seconds to rethink his answer.

Hagged out rock star? Did you know that she got all “A” in high school and has her collage degree in voice and piano? So she may be “Hagged out” as you say but I don’t think so, and she seems to be a very intelligent well rounded person. And I would say she looks very hot for 40!!! But then I’m 47!

Obviously, there are many who don't recognize sarcasm, or a poorly veiled attempt at humor. I think it is great that our sports are finally getting some mainstream coverage. Now, if we can just get Peter Reid to date Courtney Love.....

If I had a "47 y/o hagged out rock star" for a gf like Sheryl, I don't think I'd be worrying about what others thought of me.

Uh... what's the matter with Courtney Love? wow! I used to dream having sex with her would be something out of a murder scene (after Angelina Jolie, of course).

We have similar tastes in senses of humour, me thinks.

I don't know what Lance answered, but this would be my strategy:

Create a three team combine. No one team has the horsepower to take on Discovery.

Within the combine, issue orders for the rouleurs to launch a fusilade of attacks prior to the climbs to foil the lead-outs to the base of the mountains. Tell your TT men their race is over unless they can take a group to the base of the climbs at 30+ mph for over an hour. Your men need 4-10 minutes at the base to count for anything. Force Disco into defense mode every single day. On the climbs, pick two climbers from each team in the combine, six men total, the real "anti-armstrong" hit squad. The protected man in this team of six is the highest guy on G.C. within the combine. Play it like this: Two men in the combine, but not on the same team, launch at the bottom of the climb. This is not a feint. They are within 10 minutes of Armstrong on G.C. and they ride with everything they have. They are instructed to kill themselves on the climb. Disco has to chase when things get out to about 6-8 minutes. Do this for four days.

On the fifth day everybody is ragged and you lost 2-3 guys from your combine. They are just used up. Now, your protected men, who have been riding in the group with Armstrong while the point men launched attacks, those men go. They are the snipers. They take out Armstrong on the climb: A relentless 1-2 punch of attack, counter attack. Armstrong said it himself, he can't cover everything. Force him to try. This isn't about seconds, it is about minutes. Your man, whoever it is from the combine, needs 2-3 minutes going into the last time trial. Then, pray to God something finally does go wrong with Armstrong's bike on a climb that costs him 60 seconds and throws him team into disarray.

A requirement for this plan to work: The combine must be rock-solid. This coalition of teams must be unswervingly united to depose Armstrong. There can be no individual designs or ambitions. For that reason, the combine needed to forged not in the bike race but in the board room of the sponsors, so the three teams that form the commbine go to the race with their orders clear: Beat Armstrong. The key thing is not to win, but to beat Armstrong regardless of who wins in the combine.

Even with this strategy executed with a high degree of effectivenss, I put your chances at no better than 50% at best. Remeber the Arab proverb: "The enemy of my enemy, is my friend."

You obviously never read his first book. His wife was there the whole time. Why do you think they went to the trouble to freeze his sperm?? She is a very good person and got dumped on...plain and simple. Make Lance out to be what you want, but he cheated on his wife.

TriDavis...it's time to read the book again. You missed some parts.

He froze his sperm in case he EVER wanted to have children, not so he could have them with Kristen. He met her after treatment and during recovery while he was setting up the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

I don't like what he did, I don't like that his ex-wife and kids see his new girlfriend on the tv all the time, but to say that he cheated on her, the woman who stood by him as he fought cancer, well that's just not true.

Read the book again, it's worth it.

Actually, you need to go read the book again. He had a girlfriend through most of the cancer, and she couldnt take it any longer, so they broke up. He met his ex wife while setting up the lance armstrong foundation, when he was already on the road to getting better. He froze his sperm before he even met her...

Now did he cheat or just leave her for another woman? Two very different things in my mind.

Maybe they both mutually decided to separate. Nobody knows. Whoever says they know what happened is most likely lying or repeating a rumor.
