I believe you may be referring to Willie Stewart, aka "One Armed Willie"

You can confirm this by checking the CAF website and linking to the page of the board of directors, there is a picture of Willie there. I don't have a contact address for him, but you could email emily@challengedathletes.org with your request and she could pass along a contact address for Willie.

Another Slowtwitcher was kind enough to also e-mail me William's name. I bet that is him. I went to the CAF website to confirm it but couldn't find his name. Darn.

As if the triathlon accomplishments were not enough, I beleive, One armed Willie was a state champion in wrestling. I went to the same highschool outside D.C. and graduated about 5 yrs after him.All the kids still talked about what a tough bastard he was. Heck, I wasnt even a wrestler and I had heard the stories, and his name was littered all over the record books. The last I had heard he was playing rugby as well, and you did NOT want to stiff armed by the guy. Amazing what someone can do when they put their mind to it.
