I feel so blessed at 57 to be healthy and have 3 grandkids that my daughters allow me to race with. This is one of the reasons I go to bed at 7 each night and get up at 4 each morning
and exercise 2 hours a day. Just had a friend whose wife brother just died swimming in the ocean at 54. They could find no reason.

I love racing with them in the strollers. But this is the next step as they get too big for them.

On my death bed I sure will not wish I had done IMLT again, but would have kicked myself if I did not spent the money and time to race with them.

I am now going to order them a coolibar race hat like I wear.

So for everyone that either has kids or grandkids, if you can get a chance to race with them in a stroller, are run with them, go for it! They will remember it for life.

Congrats on the fun with your grand daughter. I got to do a half marathon with my son this spring and it was indeed a lot of fun. And most importantly glad you have the health to enjoy that! Well done!

Great job h2ofun. Of all the things I've learned on ST the past year, this is the most important lesson. Pass it on. I had a similar race with my son yesterday. What a great time we both had sprinting for the line together (I think he out-leaned me at the tape).

I would have dropped her with 100M left ;)


Seriously though, what a great way to spend a day and I'm sure it is something that she'll remember forever and instill the love of an active lifestyle! Congrats on the big win!
