Proper Seat post info...
Hey gang,

I got a form to get a Thomson seatpost, and I'm trying to ascertain the exact seat post I need. I've checked the Giant Specs page for the 2003 OCR2 here.

It says, 27.2 for "something" heh. (sorry, can you tell I'm a n00b?)

Then, under frame geomotry, on the large, it says the seat tube in mm is: 555

I go to the Thomson Elite setpost size site... and they have a setback post that is listed at 72.2x410mm. Will this work for the OCR2?

Thanks, sorry if these are too stupid questions to post, but I don't know who to ask. And noone was around on the #slowtwitch irc channel to ask. :)

The 410mm post is way too long for a road bike, but yes, 27.2 is the diameter of the seatpost which is what you need. Use a 330mm post at most (which is made for MTB).

I use a 25.0 cut-down Thomson on my Arcole. Any sharp hacksaw will do.
