Power numbers over the course of a season

A question for those who have trained with power over the course of more than one year. Just trying to see what may be real improvement and what is just standard changes over the year.

What is the "normal" variation in power during the course of the year, say from 6 - 8 weeks into base training to mid-season? What average improvement and decrease do you see just going from off-season to mid-season and back?

Having never been able to track it consistently I have nothing to compare to.

I'm beginning to think that we are much more fucked than I thought.
