Everyone knows triathlon is expensive and VERY time consuming when it comes to training. Henceforth, I was curious what everyone does for a living and their life (please do not list salary). See who is the best at time management on this forum haha

Addition: Let's put hours of sleep we get too since people wake up early and work out late.

Edit: I am currently at work waiting for some models to get done so my mind started wondering. My sister has two toddlers and I just could not figure how someone could train with two toddlers and work at the same time (she doesn't) - but curiosity still got to me.

I wonder how many people are going to have "swimming" as their worst discipline.

hahaha, love this. I can very much relate.

Pre-kid, I raced sailboats. Anywhere between 10 and 20 hours "in season". Only started to try tri a year pre-kid so now it's basically like this;

1. Corp. Accountant/CPA
2. 30
2. Married
3. 1 (just under 2, little princess)
4. 3-5 hrs...maybe
5. All the time. On top of the kid situation, I also do the majority of cooking and we have a fixer upper house which takes priority
6. I suck at all 3. Bike is my least bad.
7. Swimming, by a long shot.

A couple years ago in the second Oly race that I did, I had the distinction of being DFL out of the water. As I ran ashore, I raised my hands and yelled, "last swimmer" which got a round of applause (might as well have fun with it). Unlike some people, when I say swimming is my worst discipline, I mean it.

Wow.. Looking at hours vs #of workouts...looks like only 3-4 hours a week on average. But I work out once or twice a day. Guess I need to build that up a bit more.
Doesn't get mad because most of my workouts are early morning or after everyone has gone to bed
Depends on year but this year the bike is best
Run is worst

Bike is becoming my strong suit but I always identify as a runner and I always place high on the run splits. That being said I always leave a bit out there in terms of the bike to ensure I don't crash and burn during the run.
