Why "Noosa" ? Sounds like "noose."

Sweet colors. What type of shoe? (neutral, stability, etc) ?

maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine
If you're injured and need some sympathy, PM me and I'm very happy to write back.

Named for Noosa, Australia- home to one of the largest (if not the largest...) triathlons in the world.

My friend has a pair the "assics" (aussie pronunciation) logo glows in the dark... besides that he looks like a flaming idiot wearing them.

The official description says it is a racing flat designed "to meet the needs of triathletes".

It's barefoot specific and comes with elastic laces according to the Asics website, although I don;t know that the ones I had for 10 minutes (or less...) had elastic laces in them. I didn't check. They were multi-colored.

Here is the link to the Asics America website page about that very shoe:

Ahh they are under racing, didn't expect that. 10.3 ounces seems damn heavy for a racing flat.

They're built on the same platform as the DS-Trainer.

Shawn, I don't know much about running shoes. I am in Kayanos. Would these Noosas be an ok one for me or no?

For races? Yes. I, too, run in Kayanos but I'm switching to DS-Trainers as the minimalist running craze ebbs a bit. I feel faster and lighter in the DS-Trainers, and haven't noticed any ill effects; granted, I run for no more than an hour in them but my longer runs in Kayanos feel like drudgery now.. You, dear, are fast enough to make these shoes work, and it seems they're stable enough to work for you.

My wife says the shoes "look like someone on an acid trip threw up on those shoes"!! Now I KNOW we have a drug problem in the US.

As a racing shoe, possibly. But probably not as a daily training shoe.

I have a pair of Noosa's that I bought in Europe (they weren't sold in the US) a couple years back, they feature triathlete comic book art! No glow in the dark, though...may have to get the new model!

I saw them at the Running Shop in Tucson around early November. There was a thread on these shoes last year sometime.

By that, they mean marked up 200%?

You must have massive hip flexors from lifting a pair of 13oz shoes during run workouts!
