Wish Matt wouldn't step over Welshy when he's speaking. You'd swear this is his first commentating rodeo.

Linsey Corbin is way back as well. Would really like to see her have a good race at Kona.

Frodo's wearing a one piece suit with sleeves...which means he changed completely in transition and still came out with Potts? That's nut.

He would have had it on in the swim with the top off and rolled down. Then out of the water and pull up the top and put it on your arms.

I was hoping someone could clarify for me who is sponsoring the bike coverage. It hasn't been very clear. <g>

Yep, me too. Just saw Corbin's swim split...14 minutes down on Amanda Stevens. Ouch. That has to be demoralizing to come out of T1 that far down.

I was thinking the same thing, he has interrupted welchie a couple of times to talk about the women. And the last time he cut off gomez. I mean, you are not going to have gomez there for very long, let the guy talk…
Looks like starky is going to go for it alone for now. wish the camera would get back so we can see what is gelling behind him…Going to be a very boring race if all they do is stick on starky..

If Frodo keeps him in his sights and finished in second off the bike, I say he will win by 10 minutes.

Matt Lieto obviously doesn't He can't stop talking about what a terrible strategy it is for Starky to hammer the bike.

Which is a ridiculous statement, because if Starky plays it conservative on the bike, he finishes 20+ minutes behind the winner.

Why did they get rid of a perfectly fine athlete tracker for a 'leaderboard' that puts athletes in random order within their category?

Ruble Triathlon Coaching Average of 30 coached PR's per year
Florida Triathlon Camps Train in North Americas winter training destination
Ruble Racing Events Midwest Triathlon Racing

Blue is sponsoring the course itself. Specialized is sponsoring the coverage of the bike race.

At least that's my understanding.

I think Starky's going to do his best to put himself in the mix for a win. He came out of the water with the front group. He pounds the bike. The other athletes have to decide how much they're willing to let him go.

Odds are that the rest of the runners in the pack aren't too concerned about Starky's gap. They learned that last year. But, Starky's run has improved. If they let him go, it might be a great strategy for him.
