OK, Kienle needs to come in under 5:16 race time to clock a 4:20 ride. I have a feeling that Norman's record is still intact.

Just ticked over 5:16, and he's close, but if your math is right, the record will stand. Close, though!

I think Kienle will be 4:21 based on this math. Normann is still the King of the Kona bike, therefore the all time king of ST's race to T2.

I always laugh they make the pros run around the entire empty transition area.

I always laugh at how smoothly they run through transition. I look like a robot with clubbed feet.

Kienle still ran 1:17 in Tremblant...that puts him at 2:52 fitness. Ran 2:49 in Frankfurt in the heat. Let's see what Kienle can do.

So if Frodo can run 2:40 this will be quite close. But FVL looks like best positioned.

FVL comes in 8 min down on Kienle. Kienle needs to implode for FVL to win. This is Kienle's race to lose right now, but they are saying he is injured a bit...still ran 1;17 in Tremblant.

Normann beat Kienle in the swim that year, too.

Really learning a lot from broadcast. Didn't know that athletes like Ben Hoffman are at risk of being "cold" during the run.

Any idea what the injury is? I heard them say something about that earlier, but didn't catch the details.

Can you give us the splits to Frodo, Ralaert and O'Donnell...looks like they came in 13 min down on Kienle. This could be an interesting fight

Frodo seems to be having a weird race: flat, penalty, double back in T2 for different top. All those little moments add up.
