Brutal. Was hoping he would take it. It's possible, but that's a lot of energy spent catching up, twice now. He could still run himself to the podium if all goes well.

Van Lierde has positioned himself very well again. Right up there but not drawing any special attention. Silent killer!

Yeah, tough day for Frodo. Flat tire then a penalty. Seems like he'll be battling from here on out.

Kienle has 5 minutes on Van Lierde now on the bike but riding faster so the gap might grow. Last year Van Lierde ran the marathon 7 minutes faster than Kienle.

Not to worry - Starky saw Chuck Norris fighting off a bunch of ninjas in the lava fields, so he stopped to help him out and take a quick piss break. He'll catch back up to those other guys.

Chuck should be OK soon, too.

And, I'm not complaining about the main camera angle that they decide to show Daniela as she leads the race.

All the men runners are suffering big time. The bikers are taking it to them this year, Potts is the closest runner at just over 4 minutes. Looks to me that it is going to be won on the bike this year, unless you expect every one of the top 10 right now are going to blow on the run. I figure at least a couple of them will have sub 2;55 runs, probably all it will take to win this year from the looks of it..

I'd say T.O. is in a good position to run them down. What can Nils lay down?

I think there's going to be some surprises once we hit the run halfway mark. Those who have been trailing on the swim and bike are just being patient, biding their time to unleash on the run.
