:) :) :)
Hot damn, I actually did it. I wasn't sure until mile 12 or so on the run if I'd make it or not, by the time I got through the turn around though, I knew I was going to finish.

I did get to see Dan (Heavy [Medium???] D) and Nick as well. I wish I could have met some other slowtwitchers, but with family here and everything it was a bit crazy. Who knows, maybe I'll hit the party tonight if I can.
Again, I can't say thank you enough to everyone here for the support and kindness you have showered on me. I even know think I can possibly do this again. Hell, I feel I could probably go sub-13 if I trained right and didn't get sick.
I could not BELIEVE I did a sub-6hr Marathon. Especially after blowing up on the bike. heh. I calmed down, regrouped and just took it easy, but never really stopped moving.
Status of The Giant:
I have actually been contacted by the original owner of the bike (the one that gave it to Jonathan originally) and he says he has a friend that wants to get into Triathlons. I am going to be sending him the bike back probably in the next couple of weeks. I think it is great that the bike will be able to go on and help someone else get into the sport of Triathlon.
Regarding my triathlon career:
Hell, I LOVE this stuff!!! I think going long is where it's at. I can see me shooting for a sub-14 on my next IM distance race. And then maybe in a few years trying to go sub-13! Maybe that'll be my goal before I'm 40. ;) [37 now] I'm going to do the rock and roll 1/2 Ironman again this summer, and will probably do at least 1 HIM each year.
Soooo... I'm pumped and ain't going nowhere.
Maybe now I can convince Dan we need to have an IRC chat where we can all talk in real time. I tried to do it once but without slowman's support and it being an "official" thing, I don't think it's going to get off the ground.
Anyhoo... thanks tons again gang. I love you peeps. :)
