Nose of saddle keeps edging down during rides

I'm worried about cracking the seat post if I tighten the seat bolt too tight with my Allen wrench. This is by hand btw on a Shiv. Seat is a Cobb JOF all the way forward on the rails. Anyone know the torque setting here?

Thanks but when I read that I think they are referring it the collar that holds the seat post up not the single bolt on the saddle bracket that secures the rails and provides seat tilt up/down. I might be wrong though.

Flip the post and push the saddle back. To much leverage on it all the way forward on the rails. Measure to make sure saddle position does not change.

Did you drop some of that loctite in your keyboard?

Sorry, typing on my nook. Thought I corrected all these. Weird.

X2 on the friction paste.

some call it carbon paste. put it on the parts that are sliding...not the bolt. If its an issue of the bolt backing out then some blue loctite can be used.

also, if you use a small multi tool and just your fingertips to tighten, its almost impossible to over tighten.
