My First Team (that I'm not on) Jersey
This a confessional. I got my first ever kit from a team I'm not on in the mail today. It is T-Mobile, and it is Fushia. (I have other team kits, but they're all legit - teams I've raced for.)

Now, I'm not normally a fan of running around in someone else's jersey. Hence, I've never done it before.

But, this year is different. T-Mobile really deserves it, and if wearing fushia will help at all, I'll do it.

Some sacrifices need to be made. The heckling begins Saturday morning.

Thanks Chip. I thought the harassment would wait for Saturday's group ride, but I was mistaken.

if you ride that jersey with shaved legs you better at least look fast or else you are definitely homo. :-)

If you have a 2 year T-Mobile phone contract, it's fine.

If you're with Verizon, Cingular or Sprint....I agree with Chip.

;o)

I have all sorts of team kits. The goal is buy the ACTUAL team kit, not some club-fitted 1/4 length zip crap-fabric jersey. If you're going to do it right, do it right...and make sure you cut the sleeves.

My birth certificate shows that, yes indeed, I am a homo sapien.

My girlfriend can substantiate that I am not homosexual.

In either case, I don't see the jersey having much to do with it :)

This is the actual Adidas team kit, the one in the picture.

Cutting the sleeves? Is that how the pro's get them to fit nicely?

No, I don't think they need that much support.

T-Mobile wears full zip.

Pretty much, depends on the team/kit thought. When you're 140lbs with big pythons, the elastic can cause discomfort.

Man, that's awful. Sorry, but you better be real fast to pull of pink. I have a pink ONCE GIANT team jersey that has yet to leave the closet for the same reason. It's cool and all, but it's very pink, and I just don't have the speed to pull it off yet.

I thought today was the 'touchy, feely, be nice, don't make a woman riding on a bike path cry' day.

You're right...touchy, feely, nice day. So I'll reword my question about the tighty-whities under the white shorts..."Will you be wearing your best white lace underneath them?"

If you shaved your legs and are not getting a massage on the regular bases, why worry about what color of shirt you wear, or how fast do you ride, why shave if you do not massage regularly, i used to race pro in my youth, and if you do not get a rub , you did not shaved, and most of us wear what you can get from the team or sponsor, and now what is less expensive.
