Like you would really care, but I'll be there. At the finish line wait for nightfall and you'll see me conclude my racing experience. And that's just the mini-mussel! Actually, the name of that particular race describes my physique. My pace recently has been compared to tectonic plate movement.
Nice. I don't care how fast/slow people are...as long as they are nice. if you truly move like tectonic plates, I will come back to see you finish in 20 million years ;-)
I lurk usually but will be leaving the house long enough to compete at Musselman; it is cool you are making the trip. _______________________________________________ you know my name, look up my number _______________________________________________
The musselman will my 2nd Sprint Tri, so around the time I finish, all you guys doing the HIM should finish. ;)
I'd love to meet some ST'ers at the race.
I'll be staying at the rooms in the college Hobart William Smith. I a big Clydesdale looking guy. http://www.myraceday.com/photo/?race=559&val=102&sel=1
Black Cervelo Soloist Centaur/ White Bell Helmet / Black & blue Sugoi tri shorts + black blue sugoi top.... </*I'm not slow, I'm a better than average Clydesdale*\>
I look forward to meeting the newcomers, and seeing some familiar faces from last year. I've been eyeing the weather report, and the 10-day is currently saying 80 degrees and sun. 'Twould make for a beautiful day on the lake.
Make sure you say hello. I may look frantic during the weekend, but I'll still have time to shake your hand. In the meantime, let me know if you have last-minute questions or concerns I can help you with.
See you in a week, Jeff (the RD)
PS Interesting sidenote: this weekend the NY State HOG ("Harley Owners Group") Rally has come to Geneva. There are 5,000 bikers tooling around the town, and next week we'll have nearly 1,000 cyclists. The locals won't know what hit 'em. Thanks. I like to think I'm fairly nice, and I was overstating my ability with reference to speed.
I'll be there, Francois! My second half ever. I did the Great Floridian half last October, and am looking to improve on that debacle...6:42, but I'm pretty sure my run will suck again. I'd love to say hello and meet the man behind the attitude. I'll be the 46 year old "girl" on the pink guru cron'alu, with the pink this, and the pink that, and maybe even,(pre-race), the pink fleece hat that says "sweet pink" that I bought from a young lady here thru the slowtwitch forum. I'm from New Yawk, and my name is Joyce. Staying with my family at the Ramada. Look for me and I'll do the same.
